DynamOx designs, builds, sells, and/or leases stand alone respirometers to aid in optimizing biological wastewater treatment processes. A respirometer is a device used to measure the rate of respiration of a living organism by measuring its rate of exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide. They allow investigation into how factors such as age, light, temperature, or chemical interference can affect the rate of respiration.
Because a DynamOx can precisely measure the delivery rate of oxygen into a biological treatment process in a "real world" application, it allows the operator to monitor the respiration of the biomass. This allows the operator to make the types of changes needed to accelerate the treatment process.
To augment this high level of control and aid the operator in making operational decisions, DynamOx has worked with engineering professionals to develop and manufacture a respirometer for use it testing the treatment process.
